Who are we?
Hi, I’m Lisa, your Hyattsville neighbor with the big garden filled with Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) cats.
I work at a local animal hospital and volunteer for and occasionally foster cats with A Cat’s Life Rescue (ACLR). We’ve fostered 19, placed 17 and “foster failed” on 2 (Little Bear and Maze). I also support other ACLR fosters and colony care givers by providing occasional support helping care for their colonies when they go out of town.
I have had at least 1 cat (usually more) since the day I was born. I’m a cat person through and through and I have been providing drop-in cat sitting services for my neighbors since 2019.
From kittens to senior cats, I have tons of experience caring for our feline friends through all stages of life. I am comfortable giving medications as well as administering fluids which means I also have quite a few medical clients.
I’m always happy to help my neighbors with all of their kitties. I pride myself in being incredibly reliable, affordable, knowledgeable and impeccably trustworthy. If you need someone to stop by and care for your kitties while you are away, feel free to reach out.
My questions for you: cat care
“Exceptional care for exceptional cats” isn’t just our slogan, it’s our passion. Part of giving exceptional care means getting to know as much about your cats up front and being prepared for anything that might come up while you are away.
The list of questions to the right are a sampling of the information we’ll be gathering at our first meet-and-greet. We’ll spend some time meeting your cats, seeing their routine, learning about their medications, seeing their personalities and learning what we need to know in order to give your cat(s) exceptional care while you are away. Click the arrow to see the full list of questions under each category.

Your questions for me: FAQs
How much do you charge?
In general, if you are within our service area and you have 1-3 cats, you can expect $25 per visit. This may increase if you have multiple cats, need colony care or have time consuming medication administration needs like fluids.
What is included in each visit?
All visits include feeding your cat their preferred diet (wet/dry/raw, etc.), ensuring water bowls have fresh, clean water, performing litter box maintenance and enrichment activities like play, setting up treat puzzles, or lap cuddles. Basic medication administration that isn’t particularly time consuming is included as needed.
For enrichment activities, we meet your cat where they are each day meaning for those that need lots of play, we do lots of play. Others, especially a few days into your trip, want lots of cuddles, love and extra attention so that’s what we give. Others still, want nothing to do with being bothered by a human that isn’t their own human so we give them their space. During all visits, however, we are always chatty with your cat and have been known to sing silly made up songs to them.
How many visits should I book for my trip?
While most cats do better with 2 daily visits, we especially recommend 2 visits for single cat households or cats with medical conditions that need to be closely monitored and/or medicated. If there are multiple cats in the household who are also good companions, we often do 1 visit. We do not offer every other day visitation.
What about keys?
A spare key should be provided at our initial meet-and-greet visit. We will test the key to ensure it works and add it to our key system to ensure it stays safe while in our possession. While most of our clients choose to have us hold a key between visits, we’ll be happy to return the key at the completion of our first set of visits. However, if we need to pickup and/or drop off the key for future appointments, there is a $10 fee for both pick up and drop off. There is no charge if you want to pick up or drop off from your key to us at either work or home.
How do I know my keys are safe?
All client keys are labeled with a key tag identified only by pet name. Addresses and street names are never used to label keys. All client keys are kept in a limited access secure key box. Once the dates for your visits arrive, the key is placed on a lockable key chain that stays with your sitter for the duration of the visits. Once the last visit is completed, your key is placed back in the secure box until next time.
How do I book an appointment?
Please text or call us at 443-302-9555. You can also e-mail us at purrsandbiscuits@gmail.com
How do I cancel an appointment?
Please text or call us at 443-302-9555. Do not e-mail unless you are cancelling future planned dates.
Are there cancellation fees?
No. We respect your time and understand that life happens. If you are having to make the hard choice to cancel your trip, we understand that something was outside of your control. We prefer as much notice as you can give us but if you need to cancel, please text or call as soon as possible. Understand, however, that if we arrive at your location before you have cancelled the appointment, you will still be charged for the visit.
What to know about the initial meet-and-greet intake appointment?
For a full list of what we’ll go over during the initial appointment, see the above section.
What times do we visit your cats?
We offer 3 time blocks. “Morning” or “AM” visits happen between 7:00-10:00 AM. Evening visits happen sometime between 5:00-9:00 PM. Anytime visits only apply to cats scheduled for a single daily visit and are fit in anytime between 7:00 AM-9:00 PM. We do try to keep visit times consistent so if we fit your cat in at 3:00 on the first day, it would continue to be close to the same time on subsequent days. On rare occasions where clients need visits outside of these times, we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Testimonials
Lisa is the only sitter I’d trust to care for Paco, who has had many medical issues and needs an extra perceptive eye. Lisa is dependable, trustworthy, and prompt. The updates that Lisa regularly supplies, complete with videos of Paco’s loud and excited meows come feeding time, make traveling so much less stressful for me. And, Paco loves Lisa. I’ve received proof in the many videos of Paco purring and looking absolutely content. Thank you, Lisa. You’ve been amazing and we’re so lucky to know ya!
One example of her incredible work was when one of my cats passed in January of 2025. He had been sick and declined suddenly and rapidly while I was away–but thankfully Lisa was there to take care of him. She was attentive, communicative, compassionate, and went well above and beyond in her care as well as ensuring my other cats got the attention they needed. She was a blessing during a very difficult time. I can’t recommend her enough!
Lisa kept us updated with daily messages and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. She has a natural way with animals, and our fur babies took to her immediately.
If you’re looking for a trustworthy, kind, and knowledgeable cat sitter, I highly recommend Lisa. She truly treated our pets as if they were her own!
She has been incredibly accommodating with my rotating cast of foster cats and has maintained patience and good humor with some foster litter box mishaps and cats spilling their food container all over the floor. My cats always seem content and well-adjusted when I return. Lisa also has watered my garden starts and they’re in great condition when I return.
